Dear Athletes, Coaches, Families, and Volunteers,

On behalf of Ringette Calgary, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2025 Esso Golden Ring Tournament! This marks the 39th year of the invaluable partnership between Ringette Calgary and Imperial Oil, and we are excited to celebrate this milestone with all of you.

This year’s tournament is one of our largest yet, with 171 teams participating, plus 2 National Ringette League (NRL) teams. We are thrilled to have a diverse group of athletes with us – 28 teams from out of province, including 2 teams from Quebec, and teams representing 5 provinces across Canada. With 348 games to be played, and more than 2,500 players on the ice, we are set for an exciting and action-packed weekend of ringette.

This event wouldn’t be possible without the tireless efforts of our tournament committee and volunteers. A heartfelt thank you to all those who have dedicated countless hours to organizing and supporting this incredible event. Your hard work and commitment ensure the smooth running of the tournament and create an experience that will be memorable for all involved.

As we come together to celebrate the sport of ringette, we ask everyone to uphold the values of respect and sportsmanship. Please remember that we are all here to create a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone—athletes, coaches, referees, and volunteers alike. We encourage you to show decorum and treat one another with kindness and respect at all times. This includes respecting coaches, referees, fellow athletes, and volunteers. Our shared commitment to good sportsmanship ensures that the tournament is a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for all.
