Greetings Ringette Family & Friends!

Welcome to the 38th Esso Golden Ring Tournament!  Ringette Calgary is ecstatic to have over 2500 players from 175 teams and 6 provinces attend including our farthest travellers from Dieppe NB (2024 host of the Canadian Ringette Championships) and Rive-Sud QC.  Again this year, the 6-team Western NRL mini-hub is here to demonstrate why this is called the Fastest Sport on Ice.  In addition to cheering on your players, please take some time to catch an NRL game and prepare to be amazed.

This tournament would not be possible without our major sponsor, Imperial Oil.  They have supported ringette in Calgary for over 35 years and we thank them for their continued support to run this extraordinary event.

A huge thanks to the tournament committee as they have worked relentlessly to get this off the ground and a special shout out to Holly Bradley for AGAIN stepping up to lead!  A special thanks goes to the tournament agents at every arena, ensuring the operation runs smoothly.  Feel free to pop by and say hi when you see them.  The time and energy put in by the Referees, Coaches, Managers and Minor Officials does not go unnoticed and is appreciated by all.

There have been/will be many exciting events around Ringette in Calgary this season. It started with Ringette Canada/Ringette Calgary hosting the World Ringette Championships in October; this, our 38th EGRT in January and will conclude with Bow View hosting the Western Ringette Championships in April.  Our first ever Ringette Calgary Trailblazer Award recipient, Mr. Shawn Curran, who dedicated 40+ years to ringette in Calgary was honoured at the World Championships.

Your patience is appreciated as we transition to the RAMP game sheet system this year, we hope it will be an exciting new way to keep updated.

This season, for the first time in 30+ years, we opened without Marlayne Brandsguard – we thank her for her many years of dedication to ringette in Calgary, she left us well prepared for the future.

As you travel from rink to rink watching friendship, team play, and growth flourish, it is easy to forget the craziness of these weekends will not last forever, so please take time to enjoy and appreciate them.
